Federal Incentives

The Federal government has recently made changes to the Internal Revenue Code, which can benefit employers and employees who participate in vanpooling. These changes, commonly referred to as Commuter Choice, allow employers to offer a tax-free fringe benefit to employees who vanpool to work. The benefit is $100 per month! State Incentives

In addition to the Federal Governments Commuter Choice initiative, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) provides funds to support vanpooling throughout the state. These funds keep monthly rates lower than the national average. MDOT also provides Park & Ride and Carpool lots for all Michigan commuters.
