Federal Incentives

The Federal government has recently made changes to the Internal Revenue Code, which can benefit employers and employees who participate in vanpooling. These changes, commonly referred to as Commuter Choice, allow employers to offer a tax-free fringe benefit to employees who vanpool to work. The benefit is $230 per month! Local and State Subsidies

In addition to the Federal Governments Commuter Choice initiative, several States and local municipalities provide financial incentives and/or support services to promote vanpooling because it makes so much sense.
